The 2010 Football League Awards take place again this year on Sunday 14th March and the ‘Championship Manager Apprentice of the Year’ award recognises the outstanding apprentices in The League
Players eligible for the apprentice award are those in the second year of their apprentice. Judges looked at the playing record of all candidates since becoming an apprentice alongside their educational attainment, disciplinary record and any other outstanding achievements.
This award is being contested by Tom Adeyemi from Norwich City, Pietro Palladino from Wycombe Wanderers and Aidan White from Leeds United.
Adeyemi has an exceptionally record both on and off the pitch with continued high grades at his school, all being grade A or A*which looks set to continue at A level. He also is performing to a high standard on the pitch to with eight first team starts for Norwich City.
Palladino also has a commitment to his education like Adeyemi as he has taken 6 additional modules on his BTEC course, all passed to distinction. He has also outstanding performances in the youth team, scoring 14 goals in 34 appearances.
Aidan White is the final contender for this prestigious award, and has shown some real footballing ability this year. The youngster has played in 14 first team games as well as getting a call up for the England U19 squad. Aidan also has a clean disciplinary record as well as having a clear dedication to community work for the club. Aidan has proved himself to be a role model on and off the pitch to the current youth players coming through the U15 and U16 groups coming through the academy.
